I read this in the current issue of SPIN magazine. Comments?
The tenth installment of the FRIDAY THE 13TH series--called JASON X--takes place 500 years into the future, in outer space. Yes! The earth has, of course, become an uninhabitable eco-nightmare; on a student archeology spaceship called The Grendel, a strange frozen carcass retrieved from Earth's Crystal Lake Research Facility is being studied for no good reason. Teen dismemberment ensues. Kane Hodder will reprise his role as the mask wearing machete-enthusiast in what could well be the greatest outer-space debacle since MISSION TO MIR.

I'm not much of a fan of the series, outside of the original movie. Since 'Jason X' largely takes place aboard a spaceship, I think I'll watch the movie, if for no other reason than to check out the sets and tech candy, if any.
The 'Che Che che che Ha ha ha ha' ranting drives me up the wall though, so I hope there's not much of that in the movie.
I got the following from 'Crystal Lake Entertainment Press Room':
<blockquote>'The year is 2455. The place is Old Earth. Once the shimmering blue jewel of the galaxy, Old Earth is now a contaminated planet abandoned for centuries -- a world of violent storms, toxic landmasses and poisonous seas. Yet, humans have returned -- not to live but to study.'
'Descending into the darkness, the student explorers and a tech-droid enter the ancient underground remains of the Crystal Lake Research Facility where two teens make an unexpected Archaeological find. They have discovered two frozen ancestors -- a young blond female and a large male wearing a strange mask. Only one problem, the auto-regeneration procedure has somehow been triggered. The frozen cryo-jell is melting like a block of ice on molten steel. The two bodies will soon thaw and deteriorate.'
'With time running out, the young explorers blast-off for Earth II. Very soon now, these students will come face-to-face with a shocking, totally new form of evil.'

ROTFL...un believable.
Well, I always thought the rant was "get get get...out out out" in that hushed whisper. LOL
Yup, I also truly enjoyed the first movie....it was cool when we went to see it as teens at the drivein (All of which are gone now
). Mad the girls snuggle closer..hehe

Could he survive being jettisoned into space and then being hit with a photon torpedo or something? Could he survive an Alien or Predator attack?

OOooo...Here's a thought. How 'bout Jason meeting up with a Zarg (<u>Grey 17 is Missing</u>)? Should make for an interesting mix...
